Hi, I’m Allan, a professional tour guide based in Nairobi, Kenya. With a deep passion for the city’s history, culture, and natural beauty, I specialize in creating authentic and personalized experiences for visitors looking to truly connect with Nairobi.
From the bustling markets of Maasai culture to the serene trails of Karura Forest, and from the rich colonial history of the city to the vibrant energy of local neighborhoods, I help travelers see Nairobi through the eyes of a local. My tours go beyond the typical attractions—offering real stories, meaningful encounters, and unforgettable moments.
I’ve also traveled extensively across Africa—including Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Congo, Zambia, Ethiopia, Egypt, South Sudan, and South Africa—which gives me a broad perspective on regional culture and travel. But Nairobi remains my heartbeat—my home, my inspiration, and the place I know best.
When I’m not guiding, I’m exploring the city on my bicycle, always looking for new paths to share. (Fun fact: I don’t like pizza, but I know the best spots for local Kenyan cuisine!)
If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, friendly, and experienced guide to show you Nairobi’s true spirit—I’m here to make your visit unforgettable
Hi! I am Sam, travel writer.
I’ve traveled across continents—from the vibrant streets of South America to the serene beaches of the Caribbean, the cultural hubs of Europe to the dazzling lights of Dubai. But no matter where I go, East Africa holds a special place in my heart. It’s my beautiful home, and through this blog, I share the hidden gems, everyday magic, and untold stories that make this region so unique. I like working behind the scenes, but I believe the beauty of a place is best told through honest, thoughtful storytelling. Welcome to the journey.
Awesome tour! Enlightening and fun! I thoroughly enjoyed this fascinating tour of the heart of Nairobi’s vibrant and colorful business and government district. Allan was extremely knowledgeable, sharing history and insights into current conditions and the many sites and sounds of this bustling area, graciously answering my many questions! Definitely an advantage to go with a local - very helpful when we went to the market, I was able to buy some beautiful gifts. And the 360 view from the top of the Kenyatta International Conference Center was amazing! Highly recommend!
This city walk with Allan in Nairobi is the best way to start your journey in this country. We just arrived in the morning and we had free afternoon, Allan was quickly available and it was very comfortable, safe and very interesting to walk with him. We could modify our walk as we wanted as well.
We had an excellent walk through Nairobi with Allan! He told us a lot about Kenyan history, modern life, Nairobi city development and a lot of interesting facts about everything that we saw on our way. During the whole trip we felt very safe and comfortable, recommended 100%!
